Background

ANYO Labs is a dynamic small startup company developing and using AI-based software in drug discovery. Sprung out of research from the University of Gothenburg, ANYO Labs was formed in December 2022, and works in close connection with Chalmers Ventures and CO-AX at the Sahlgrenska Science Park. We function as a CRO with “AI as a service”, and provide drug discovery services to the Pharma industry, Biotech startups and Academic institutions/research groups.

AI in Drug discovery is a vibrant field and publication as well as funding is growing exponentially, reaching a total market of $4 bn in the next four years. ANYO Labs is on a mission to challenge the status quo and become a prominent actor in delivering cutting-edge tools and services in this space.

What you’ll do

We are seeking a talented "AI-Chemist" to catalyze and speed up activities between our research and software teams. You'll leverage your expertise in chemical engineering, software/data engineering, and AI/ML to develop and implement new tools and methods for our drug discovery pipeline.

Responsibilities:

•  Collaborate with researchers and software engineers to translate AI concepts into practical applications.
• Develop innovative computational solutions for drug discovery challenges.
• Research the latest advancements in AI for drug discovery.
• Program and implement software tools for biotech and drug discovery.
• Train and evaluate ML/DNN models to support the pipeline.
• Benchmark and document performance.

Who you are:

• Motivated and thriving in a fast-paced, software-based startup environment.
• Possess a strong technical background with a Master’s in data science, Biochemistry, Computational Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in software development, ML/DNN development, and Python coding e.g.TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Proven ability to design, implement, analyse, and document computational studies.
• Excellent project management, communication, and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Embrace adaptability, enjoy taking initiative, and are passionate about making a real difference in the world.
• Fluent in English
